About Team Run DV Out of Town

We are five domestic violence service providers from across the city of Chicago, who have come together to advance our cause in ending domestic violence. Each year, we recruit a team of dedicated runners to help us raise both money & awareness. All revenue generated by the Run DV Out of Town Team is used by our member agencies for domestic violence prevention and supportive services for survivors and their families.

We have an awesome team of runners in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and the Hoka One One Chicago Half Marathon/5K!

The Chicago Marathon takes place October 11, 2020, which is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Through community engagement our team intends to make use of a new resource for consciousness and fund-raising via this iconic Chicago event.

We are also 2020 charity partners for the Chicago Half Marathon & 5K stepping off on September 27, 2020, with a dedicated group of runners representing Team Run DV Out of Town.

How do we get it done?

Following a successful marathon campaign in 2019, the Coalition is excited to work together in order to make 2020 even stronger. Member organizations will invest their time and energy to ensure a successful campaign and happy running team. Each agency has designated representatives to participate on this campaign’s Steering Committee.

We are excited to continue our training partnership with CES/Fleet Feet for Chicago-area runners and are welcoming KOPF Running for Virtual training for team members interested.
